Vocational training services in the field of surveillance, firefighting, first aid and operational aspects of a security control centre for the European Parliament"s sites
The Directorate-General for Security and Protection (hereinafter "DG SAFE") would like both its security personnel and part of its statutory personnel from other departments to receive common basic training which takes into account the European Parliament’s particular characteristics. Apart from the basic training, the European Parliament would also like to provide each agent with refresher courses in most of the fields mentioned. In order to guarantee the professionalisation of DG SAFE"s personnel, the European Parliament’s professional training unit (hereinafter "Forpro") implements an annual and multiannual training plan which contains common elements as well as individual components adapted for the tasks specific to certain personnel members. The training objectives are based on the skills identified, which are themselves based on job profiles.
